Commodity Chain Assignment will be done in groups of 2. INSTRUCTIONS: Choose ONE commodity (good or product) that you use and discuss the commodity chain. The commodity chain is the various stages of the product. You must research your chosen com- modity and explore information to map its life cycle. Some commodities will be easier than others to map, so choose your topic carefully; take the availability of information (or lack there of) into considera- tion. Please choose a product that you personally use and are a consumer of. NOTE: A private company, for example, will likely be much more difficult to research; however, I encour age you to dive deep into the chains of small and local businesses if you choose to do so. Your research should allow you to put together a map or chain (in words) that represents important instances and top- ics. What I mean by map or chain; when I am reading your paper I want to able to mentally visualize a map or a chain of how the product is flowing through the commodity chain.
