Communication Plan Creation

Create a communication plan for a project. The following individuals and teams are involved with the project:

3 executive leaders (Chief Executive Officer, Chief Information Officer, Chief Security Officer), the Customer Relationship Manager, Call Center Manager, about 800 customers, two outside technical vendors, the Server Team, the Database Team, and the Web Development Team.

Design a communication plan that would indicate how you plan to communicate with so many people. Create a spreadsheet and include the following headings:

Communication Type (Examples: Kickoff Meeting, Project Team Meeting, Technical Design Meeting, Monthly/Weekly Project Status Meeting, Project Status Report, etc.)

Objective of Communication (Example: Introduce the project to the team)

Medium (Examples: Face-to-Face, Conference Call, e-mail, etc.)

Frequency (Examples: Once, Weekly, As Needed, etc.)

Audience (Examples: Project Sponsor, Project Team, Stakeholders, Project Technical Staff, Project Management Office, etc.)

Owner (Who creates the communication)

Deliverable (Examples: Agenda, Meeting minutes, Project Schedule, Project Status Report, etc.)
