Question 2 a) and 2 b) are based on the following case study:

Suppose that you are involved in a project team in the software company known as Ilusi Go. Your team has completed the development phase of the Flood Control System for the Penang State Government. Assume that currently, the system is in the operational stage at Penang State Government. The system is mainly used by Department of Irrigation and Drainage Penang (IDP) to manage issues related to flood and river blockage.

2 a) Assume that the system has gone through a testing process before it was released to the IDP department. Explainone (1) of the goals of software testing by relating it to the system.

2 b) Assume that after 6 months of using the system, the IDP department staff raised the issues that the system seems to be slow in performance and found some errors during the operation. The IDP department also has started to use different operating systems in the office, thus this becomes an issue as well. Looking at the complains received, Ilusi Go has assigned back your team to handle this matter in order to ensure smooth operation of the system.

Identify the suitable software maintenance types than can be applied to address these issues and maintain the Flood Control System.
