Consider a manned orbital laboratory (MOL) circling the earth at an altitude such that the external pressure is very nearly zero. A small meteorite punches a hole in the wall of the laboratory and the air within the laboratory starts to leak out. The astronauts within the laboratory initially are not wearing pressure suits.
