Grabbed this free book for my course PHYS 201: Advanced Mechanics and Thermodynamics and it showed up way faster than I thought, still gotta dig into the pages but it looks legit and the cover is solid. cool to save cash on something so key for class

I stumbled on this textbook because my professor said it’s the main one for my Physics 101 course, and honestly getting it for free felt like a lucky break. I’ve barely cracked it open but when I hit Chapter 26 about quantum physics stuff, or whatever it’s actually called, that part really grabbed me. I was pretty clueless about wave-particle duality before but the chapter walks through the basics in a way that actually clicked. It was kinda tricky going in, not gonna lie — some parts were dense, but weirdly they threw in these small weird examples that made me snort a bit, which helped with the confusing bits. Felt like I got an actual “aha” moment about why light behaves so weird sometimes working through it. Just today I was chatting with a friend about electrons and I actually could mention stuff from the chapter, made me feel a little geeky but also proud. One mild gripe: some diagrams were a bit cramped and I kept having to squint, nothing crazy but made it slightly annoying. All in all, this book is decent for explaining stuff that usually gives me a headache, so yeah, if you’re in a similar boat and want something that’s free and makes this modern physics part not totally scary, it’s worth checking out.
