Consider an organization you could develop (a student group, non-profit, neighborhood association, etc.) and designate three end and three operational values for that organization.

Now, based on the values you identified, develop a purposeful vision statement that promotes positive change. Remember the other elements of the Relational Leadership Model in developing your statement.

Finally, reflect on your experience:

1. How and why did you come up with the values you outlined? Do you feel that any values were excluded or overlooked?
2. Did you feel that your vision statement reflected the values that you established?
3. How would you feel about working for an organization with the vision statement you drafted?
