Create a flowchart that shows how a user will accomplish specific tasks in the word processing app.
Flowcharts are the visualization of a process and are traditionally used in engineering. UX designers use the flowchart to map out the cause and effect of various actions within the app. The step-by-step nature of the chart will help to define all of the required options/buttons and feedback to get the user through the tasks.
Your flowchart will visualize the one path a user would take to do these tasks in order. In doing so, you will need to show the other options available to a user on any given screen.
