Create a presentation describing a business process in a real organization ( NOTE: rather than a PowerPoint, write a paragraph which includes all points mentioned below)

Your presentation should include no more than 10 slides and should cover the following topics:

Slide 1: Title Slide

Slide2: A brief overview of the organization (industry, size, etc.)

Slide3: How you got the information you needed for this presentation (i.e. you work there, you

shopped there, from secondary sources, etc.)

Slide4: A description of the process that you are focusing on (hint: Use some of the examples of process that we have discussed to help give you some ideas on the process that you will

focus on. It could be an order-to-case process, quote-to-order, issue-to-resolution, application-to-approval

Be sure to include alternate paths in the process. For example, in the case above, if the person doesnt have insurance then the process stops, or if the claim is above a certain amount then a different process is followed, etc.

Slide5: Discuss any process management supports in place (i.e. process owner and process infrastructure. If you do not know this information, state so, and suggest what supports they

should have in place.

Slide6: Discuss the level of automation of the process (are information systems used throughout the process?). Anticipated and/or realized benefits of the system

Slide 7: Discuss the process that you would use for process discovery if you were conducting an in-depth analysis of this business process. Who would you involve in the process and why,

which process discovery methods would you use and why?

Slide8: Discuss how the process could be improved and what outcomes you think this would

have for the organization.

slide 9: Discuss how management could bring about these changes.
