Creating a Research Problem

Throughout this course, we will learn more detailed information about the different types of research designs. For this applied activity, you will pick a UNIQUE topic that interests YOU and develop a research objective and question. Your task is to:

Pick a general topic related to STUDENTS. Examples could include:

Virtual delivery

Technology

Campus policies

Student housing$/$transportation

Tuition

Textbooks

Study habits

Sleep

Mental health

Any other topic you are interested in that could be related to STUDENT life

Define your research objective. This must include WHY you are interested in this topic and WHY the research should be done $($what benefits would it have$).$

Develop a relevant, feasible, and interesting research question related to the topic to explain WHAT you want to learn in relation to the research objective.

This will be the research topic that you WILL CONTINUE to adjust and work with on future applied activities in the course. Therefore, you should choose your topic and question wisely. Every student in the course should have a UNIQUE topic and research question. You must work INDIVIDUALLY on this applied activity.
