Paraphrase concepts using your own voice while citing course material (intext citations with page numbers) to support your statements. Apply theories to specific, personal, or professional experiences. Cite correctly using APA 7th edition, with page numbers. Create a complete reference list that matches the sources used in your report. Carefully read Chapters 8-10 of the course textbook. As you read, highlight key concepts that make you think differently or relate to your real-life experiences (e.g., a past job, volunteer role, class project, or even personal challenge). Provide a minimum of four personal reflections/learnings each linked to on HR specific topic. Do not use broad general topics like the chapter title or compensation and benefits. You can use the broad heading as an introduction to the specific topic you learned about. Choose four topics or ideas that stood out to you and briefly explain: What you learned and explain the topic. Why it matters to you. How it applies to something real from your life. How you might use this idea moving forward (within 6-9 months). How you used or observed this idea recently (within 6-9 months). Relate the concept directly to your own experiences or goals. Clearly explain any legislation from any chapter that applies to your topic. Do not summarize the textbook chapters. Instead, explain your unique takeaways, using examples from your life. Imagine you are writing a journal for yourself or mentoring someone new to HR.
