with a density of $150l\frac{b}{c}f.$ Due to architectural conflicts the depth of the beams

are restricted to $30$ inches.

Determine the size of the beam using the rules of thumb, compute the area of

reinforcement $($As$)$ required and select the steel bars needed to carry the moment

at mid$-$span.
