Details:
Work Breakdown Structure and Cost Estimation (Cost Apportioned/Rough Order Magnitude - ROM)- Website Design and Deployment The hierarchical box WBS format below is the beginning of a WBS coding scheme (2 levels) for a website design and deployment project. Your director has asked you to develop high-level costs for the website project. The IT Director will use the information to get funding for the project. For example, a similar project ten years ago cost $459,000. Another department completed a similar project three years ago and came in at $290,000.
Required Actions: Your assignment is as follows:
Task 1- Using historical information, estimate the total costs to complete the project.
Task 2- Using percentages (cost apportioned), estimate the percentage needed to complete the project for each WBS level two code (1.1,1.2,1.3, and 1.4). Each of these boxes will have a percentage. When the level two codes are totaled, the total percentage should be 100%. You are forecasting a percentage portion of the estimated budget each level two code will cost.
Task 3- Using the starting WBS information, complete the WBS by identifying the high-level deliverables to complete the project. Each WBS two-level code below (1.1,1.2,1,3, and 1.4) should have 4-5 level three deliverables under each level two code. When updated, you will have a three-level WBS.
Task 4- For each level three deliverable you identified, estimate the costs to complete each.
