Developing an E-commerce Business Plan

Project Concept:

E-commerce is a rapidly growing industry.New business models, marketing tactics and technologies are introduced almost daily to increase the speed and ease of business transactions and as a result, competition is intense.

Traditional "brick-and-mortar" stores are already being supplemented by a multitude of electronic storefronts.It is now possible for businesses to operate effectively without offices because employees can conduct all communications through e-mail, phone and the internet.Many refer to the current state of business and technology as the "Age of knowledge".

If you are interested in developing a new business on the internet or expanding your current business onto the global information superhighway, it is important to develop a business plan as part of your preparations.

Project Criteria:

This is a group project that requires you to apply the fundamental concepts of e-commerce that you have learnt in this course to develop an integrated e-commerce business plan.

A business plan is designed to convince the reader to support the proposed project.Besides support from corporate sponsors or investors, the plan also forces the entrepreneur to do thorough and effective analysis.
