To get noticed by employers, you have to demonstrate and display your expertise! This morning, you checked your phone and scrolled through your notifications. And there it was ... an email about your dream job! Excited to see if the company wants you to interview, you open the email right away. Instead of seeing an interview invite, you learn there are 153 other applicants. Your heart sinks. The email from the hiring manager says, "Management has decided to only interview candidates that provide a website telling us who they are, what qualifies them for the position, and why we should hire them. You think: How am I going to compete with 153 other candidates?! Your task is to demonstrate your understanding of conversion-centered design principles and your ability to apply them in a work environment by creating a mobile-optimized personal brand website using WordPress. Your personal brand website must include the following: 1. A homepage with at least one video that describes who you are, why you chose this career path, and why you should be hired 2. A self-promotion page or section with projects you have worked on, successes you have had at school and in life, etc. 3. At least 5-10 relevant photos or images 4. One blog post that tells a star story. A star story is an anecdote from your life that illustrates a skill or ability that makes you a great employee.
