The Managing Director of Company B (Company B produces computers and Electronics) believes that his company's only duty is to fulfill the economic functions it was designed to serve i.e., production of computers and Electronics and pursuit of profit within the law. The Director believes that profit is a direct measure of how well a business firm is meeting its society's expectations, and that companies do not need to feel obligated to 'give back' to communities. It is not their duty to pursue charitable endeavors with the aim of making money.
