Discussion 1 Generalization and Ethics

Discussion one consists of two topics--overgeneralization and ethical research. Please discuss both.

1. After reviewing the module materials, explain how the issue of overgeneralization is played out in the "Hasty generalization commercial examples" video. Identify another example of overgeneralization in the media or public policy and analyze using the concepts discussed in Chapter One. Cite sources. 2. Why does unethical research occur? What makes ethical research more or less likely? Was the Stanford Prison Experiment ethical? Explain your reasoning.
