Ruby offered to sell her car to John for $$5000.$ She sent the offer by email. John sent a return email to tell Ruby he was $"$ok

with the price" but wanted the car "cleaned and detailed if he was going to buy it$."$ Ruby just wanted to get rid of the car so$,$

instead, she sold it to her college roommate that afternoon. When John found out, he was upset. He told Ruby he had

accepted her offer when he said he was $"$ok with the price" and merely asked her to wash the car and detail it before he

picked it up$.$ Turns out, the car was worth much more than Ruby was asking. Now, John is suing her because he says they

had a contract.

What are the four elements of a contract?

and John for the sale of the car. To get full credit, you must go through each part of IRAC, as discussed in class, and
