Does the law protect the public enough ?

Three areas of law are reflective of an initiative that offers an enhanced protection for the public -we can especially identify those areas as employment law (regarding discrimination, harassment, and labor relations); consumer protection; and the protection of the environment.

In a little over a half century, we have made a significant effort to do so.

Consider whether we have been successful in offering the protection intended, and if not, what can we do to make it better ? An alternative way to look at the matter from a management or systems theory is, while the inputs are calculable, are we satisfied with the outcomes in the several areas of our legal system ?
