Each team will propose a data governance solution for a totally computerized and networked $1,000$ bed University$-$affiliated teaching hospital that is the flagship of its $6-$hospital system in its urban$/$suburban area of the United States.

Each team will outline a charter AND a policy and procedure book for the hospital data governance body to use.

Teams will:

Investigate and describe how the IT$,$ HIT, medical provider and management communities currently approach data governance

Hypothesize why their team$$s solutions have not been implemented in the real world

For this project, material from periodicals and other media from government and$/$or professional organizations must be accessed and used. Students will do research and investigation to complete this project as a team.

The team will put its findings on PowerPoint slides and present them during a class session. Charts and pictures can be used, but animation should be minimal. The presentation should take about $15-20$ minutes and the team members should be prepared to answer questions about their work. The presenter should talk from the slides, not just read them.
