Engines are stored in the old-engine storeroom. Operator 1 picks up an engine by an electric hoist 1 on a monorail (5 secs), transported to the stripping bay (8 secs), and unloaded onto an engine stand (3 secs). There operator 1 strips the engine (70 secs), putting the engine parts into the degreasing basket (15 secs). The basket is transported to the degreaser (6 secs) via conveyor, Operator 2 loads the engine to the degreaser (5 secs), degreased (120 secs), and then unloaded from the degreaser (5 secs). The basket with degreased engine parts is then transported to the cleaning area (5 secs) via another conveyor, where the parts are simply dumped on the ground for drying. After 15 minutes of drying, Operator 3, using an electric hoist 2, lifts the parts to the cleaning benches and cleaned (300 secs) using a pressurized hose. The cleaned parts are collected in special trays to await transport (40 secs). The parts are loaded onto a trolley (10 secs) by Operator 4 and transported to the inspection station (8 secs). There they are slid from the trays onto the inspection benches.
