ERD and database design .. Please help! Problem Statement Jim Porter owns and operates a used car business named Porters Auto Sales. His operation has grown substantially over the years, and he wants to automate the process he uses to track the vehicles he buys and sells. Some of his vehicles come from other dealers (i.e., wholesale) and some come to him as trade-in vehicles from non-dealer customers (i.e., retail) purchasing one of his vehicles. Jim wants to keep track of the source for each vehicle along with the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN), make, model, year, and price paid for the vehicle. Additionally, he wants to keep track of what maintenance/repairs are done to each vehicle before it is resold, which technician performed the work, and the associated cost of each repair. Finally, Jim wants to keep track of who purchased each car, their contact information, and the price paid. The attached invoice and worksheet forms are currently used by Jim to record purchase, sale, and maintenance information. Jim wants the automated system to be able to generate the following reports: 1. Listing of vehicles sold to customers in each city. 2. Number of vehicles purchased from each dealer along with total number and average price paid. 3. Number of vehicles sold to each dealer along with total number and average price received. Notes: 1. A vehicle may be bought and sold more than once. For example, Jim might sell a car to George Jones, and George may later trade that same vehicle in to Jim when purchasing another vehicle. Jim would then resell the car againeither to another dealer or to a retail customer.
