This creates a positive environment for conducting business boosting the morale of employees. Work ethics also instill a sense of purpose and vision that is valued by employees. In addition, proper work ethics train employees to take responsibility for the company actions and promotes fairness through the protection of employees rights, freedoms and privileges. This makes employees feel that they are part and parcel of the firm and this goes a long way in ensuring a positive attitude and boosting the morale of employees.

Code of ethics can be considered a guide of rules and values created to support professionals conduct business fairness and integrity. In the organization I work for, which is a bank, each employee has to go through a two-week orientation course. In this course, we are taught the ethical codes of conduct and how to act and behave in front of customers. Also, how-to act if deal with an ethical dilemma. We are taught about the organization we work for, their goals and values. At the end of the orientation week, all employees are given a code of ethics booklet to refer to outline organization's mission and values. These practices help employees know the value of their work and their rights as well as customer rights. Also, what are the consequences if they breach any of these ethical code. Additionally, pop quiz is done once in a while to make sure the information is not forgotten, and sometimes mystery shopping is also conducted to test employees. For other team members, they must avoid conflicts of interest and disclose any material transaction or relationship. Some companies also promote internal reporting of violations and suspected violations through whistleblower policy as part of code of conduct.
