Case Study: The Professor

You are the Dean of the Business Department at Shirley Chisholm College. One of your best professors, Professor Cal Loree , has been teaching in the Business Department for fourteen years. The student evaluations for Professor Loree have always been excellent. The students like him and a very high percentage of students feel that they learn a lot from him. You have observed him and have seen that he does a very good job in the classroom. He is always there to assist the students when they need it and he helps other teachers also. You have been able to count on him for anything you or the department needs from him. You and the students consider him one of the best professors in the department.

Every few years, the state requires that the colleges review the credentials of their teaching staff. You have just done the review and you found out that Mr. Loree did not graduate from the colleges he had listed on his list of colleges attended and degrees attained. He actually did not graduate from any college with a Bachelors or graduate Degree.
