1.Describe a moral problem that you have faced. Apply the Act Utilitarian decision procedure. What did this procedure tell you to do? Now, find a partner and use this procedure to defend the action you actually took. In your interaction, keep in mind all the strategies for effective communication about values.

2.Go back to the situation you described in Exercise 3.2. Now apply Rule Utilitarianism. What is the Outcome? Did you have a different Outcome when you used Rule Utilitarianism? Now find a small group and defend your action using Rule Utilitarianisms.

3.Look again at the situation you described in Exercise 3.2 and apply a Kantian perspective. What is the outcome? Does it differ from the one you got when you used Utilitarianism? Use it to defend your decision.
