For the business reviewed in Task 3, develop a Financial Policy and Procedure Manual utilising the template provided in your learner resources.

The policy and procedure manual will:

• ensure all staff are aware of obligations in relation to finance transactions within the business
• is a proven way to help your managers and supervisors make consistent and reliable decisions
• helps give each employee a clear understanding as to what you expect and allow

You must present your design concept in written form. The manual must include compliance requirements such as Australian Taxation Office compliance (Business Activity Reports, Superannuation, taxation returns, record retention protocols, salaries, and commissions).

The policy and procedure manual will need to cover the following points:

• aligning the objectives of the business
• safeguards in place
• fraud and error minimisation
• good management principles
• allowance for action to be taken against undesirable performance
• exposure to risks
• ensuring proper financial completeness.
