You are the manager of a customer service office where many workers work together in areas marked by cubicles. When you arrive in the office one morning, you have the following note on your desk: Cynthia Badges is still not bathing regularly and her perfume is making co-workers sick. Do something about it. (signed Thomas Richt, supervisor) Facts: Cynthia works in a cubicle customer service section where eight co-workers share a physical space. Six have complained. Teague Peegans statement: Cynthia is a nice enough gal. But she stinks. Maybe she runs or bikes to work or something, but she should do something. Its hard to breath some days, the stench is so intense. Gussie Pages statement: I have requested a formal transfer to another service section. I think Cynthias perfume is making me sick. Really. She must put on half a bottle every day. And it doesnt even cover up her odor. I mean, have you smelled her? Its enough to kill a cow. Percy Hoffmans statement: Cynthia should be fired.
