For this assignment, you will need to create a Cause and Effect Diagram. Please do not write your diagram. Please type it. You can type in word or any other computer format.

Your diagram should include the following:

1) One Effect (any effect you choose). This is your Dependent Variable. This should be what you believe if affected.

2) 5 potential causes (note that this can be any cause. For example, your Effect could be Heart Disease and your effects could be smoking, lack of exercise, etc). These are your independent variable. You believe that these variables affect your major effect, your DV.

3 Each Cause should have at least three sub-causes. For example, a cause for smoking could be stress, addiction, etc.

You will need to draw your Cause and Effect Diagram or find a template to use. For this assignment you can either draw your assignment in somewhere like word or powerpoint, or you can manually draw your diagram and scan it as a pdf.

The purpose of this assignment is for you to understand the Cause and Effect Relationships between variables.
