For this discussion we are going to dig into a few social questions related to productivity and economic growth. There is an ongoing debate within the United States today about universal healthcareand free college. Human capital is related to productivity and both health and education are related to human capital.

Part 1: Before you watch the videos below, write down your thoughts on universal healthcare and free college? Do you support these ideas? Why or why not?

Part 2: Watch the two videos below and then answer the following questions:

Question 1 - Healthier workers are more productive workers. How do we design a healthcare system that provides healthcareto everybody, keeps costs affordable, and keeps quality high?

Question 2 - Education makes workers more productive. Why do we treat college education differently than K-12 education? Why not include an associates degree and make it K-14 or include a bachelor's degree and make it K-16?
