G$-$BioSport has entered into a three$-$year contract to purchase a key ingredient called OSL from Bresnet Products, a company in the European country of Parovia. Six months after entering into the contract, you, as VP of Operations, make an unscheduled visit to Bresnet's facilities. During the visit, you discover that Bresnet is using processes to manufacture the OSL that are releasing airborne pollutants within the factory and in the nearby neighborhood. Parovia has no oversight and no regulations in place that cover Bresnet's pollution. Parovia has signed but not ratified the United Nations Paris climate agreement. To clean up the process would be pricey, but to allow the pollution to continue could severely damage the health of the plant workers and the company$$s reputation.$$
