Genetically$-$modified $($GM$)$ corn has been used to feed livestock in North America for the past $25$ years. During that time, well over $1000$ studies have looked for any link between the consumption of GM feed and negative health effects in cattle. To date, no such conclusive evidence has been found. And yet many people and countries remain very worried about the consumption of GM food and of livestock that has been given GM feed. Why is the risk of GM foods perceived to be so great? $($List all of the factors that you think influence the perception of that risk.$)$
