As the Contractor tendering on the job you need to populate and calculate pricing for the Engineers items in the BILL OF QUANTITIES in Module $2,$ above.

Calculate the rate and amount for the following items in your Bill of Quantities:

Excavation using manual labour

Concrete using mixer and labour

You are required to price only for these items. Identify the pricing elements involved for the operation, the resources required, outputs and clearly show how you determined the rates. Your submission must include a current price list from suppliers.

Calculate the rate, on the standard paper and column layout and transfer the information to the BOQ. Your rates must be all inclusive of overheads and profit.

Graduate Attribute Assignment Module $4$:GCC

Assume that the above project is now at construction stage. The construction works are being managed under the SAICE GCC $2015,3^{rd}$ Edition conditions of contract. You are required to answer the following:

Define what a variation is including a relevant example for this project. As an Employer's Agent explain fully how you are going to implement any variations to the project if such need arises clearly stating all the stages and relevant GCC clauses. Your submission must include how prices of variations are determined.

A construction project may suffer some delays to completion either due to the Contractor's fault or it may not be the fault of the Contractor. Discuss how delays are to be handled using the GCC $2015.$

As a Contractor, describe fully your understanding of Clause $2\mathrm{.}2$ "Adverse physical conditions" explaining how it minimises your risk.
