he scientific method is something you probably use in your life more often than you realize, often without even thinking of it$!$ Consider a choice you would like to make in the near future. Here are a few examples:

Picking a new recipe to cook$/$restaurant to try, playing$/$buying a new game$/$phone$/$electronic device; picking an outfit for an important event; etc.

Create a mini$-$journal where you explicitly make a decision based on the scientific method. For each step, describe what you did. Where possible, note how different or similar using the actual scientific method is to the way you$$d make your choice even outside of this exercise. After completing item #$7,$ be sure to also include a short paragraph $($three sentences$)$ evaluating whether using the scientific method led you to a different result than you might have if you weren$$t doing this exercise, including explaining why or why not.
