Basically some good explanation would help me a lot as I' struggling to understand the context. I'm afraid that the calculations are quite complicated I assume that it is better to do it in R software or with Python.

It would be more than perfect if somebody could help me with that R oder Python code.

Task:

Given the values of an unknown function : at some selected points, we try to calculate the parameters of a model function using OLS as a distance and a ridge regularization:
