Question:
Here is a KenKen puzzle. Created by Tetsuya Miyamoto ofJapan, it combines puzzle solving skills with arithmeticalcomputation. In the puzzle on the right, each row and column willhave each of the numbers 1-6 appearing exactly once. The number andoperation in the corners of the various shaped boxes indicate anoperation and the result (but not the order the numbers shouldappear.) For example, 30X means that the two numbers in the boxmust multiply to thirty, so the only possible numbers to put in thebox are either 5 then 6, or 6 then 5. I?ve given the solution belowfor the smaller 4x4 puzzle (with each of the numbers 1-4 appearingexactly once in each column and row) to give you an idea of how itworks.
Top Row ? 4 2 3 1 Second Row ? 3 4 1 2 Third Row ? 1 3 2 4Bottom Row 2 1 4 3
