Question: Hi, I have a statistics assignment and am having some trouble choosing statistical tests to use. I have one data set of collected census data

Hi,

I have a statistics assignment and am having some trouble choosing statistical tests to use. I have one data set of collected census data (numerical) from 48 county's in one country collected in 3 separate years (data is stratified random). I have another data set from 50 counties from one country but with different variables, being 5 different demographics and their census data from each county. All data is per 100,000 residents. So, I'm not sure if that is clear enough but I have to answer whether (1) there is any difference in the data over the years supplied and if so, which years had the highest data and what is the general trend? (2) does the data vary with regions over the 3 years and if so, where is the data higher? (3) which of the variables are associated with trends in the data (I'm guessing they are asking what variables have the highest and lowest numbers). So I thought perhaps I would need to do one-way ANOVA? and post-hoc if normally distributed (Wallis-Kruskal if it's not). I don't know what else I could use or what would apply to this kind of data.

Does this make enough sense to answer?

Thank you, Vanessa.
