You will adapt or design an open mathematics investigation/problem and an associated extension activity. This open-ended investigation/problem and associated extension activity can become the basis of your second lesson plan for Assessment Task 3 (AT3). The investigation/ problem and associated extension activity need to reinforce syllabus content and skills knowledge aligned with either a Stage 2 or Stage 3 (S2 or S3) Number and Algebra (N&A) and working mathematically (WM) outcomes from the NSW Mathematics K-10 Syllabus (2022). Please note: investigations/problems can be sourced and modified/adapted to suit your mathematics classroom. Students are required to email their chosen investigation and extension tasks to their Subject Coordinator, at least 5 days prior to the submission due date (re: by the 11th of August), in order to check that these are suitable as the basis for this assessment task. 2. You will need to provide three problem-solving solution pathways/strategies, suitable for a stage 2 or 3 class, and all fully worked solutions to your investigation/problem and extension activity.
