Preamble:
A business is opening at the Outlet Collection at 300 Taylor Rd., across from the College. This business will have many tables set up for people to sell sandwich meals of their own. To rent a table will cost you $1000.00 per month (inclusive) and the place will be open from 9am-9pm (12 hours) every day all year. Each month will be calculated at 30 days, so you have (12*30=360 hours per month).
Your group is tasked with developing a specific sandwich and selling it along with a single type of side (like chips or rice) and a single type of drink (like a can of coke) as a single meal. Here is an example of the menu:
6-inch bun or 2 slices of bread
1 type of protein (there are limited selections you can choose, first come/first served)
1 type of Cheese
2 condiments like mustard or hummus
2 veggies like lettuce or onion
1 drink
1 side
You job is to decide on your menu and then research how much it will cost to produce each meal, what you will charge for the meal based on research (use the best prices you can find and be sure to reference them) and decide how many sandwiches you need to sell to hit various marks.
Your sales will grow as follows: First Month-1 meal per hour and this will increase by 5% per month. Your financial projections will be for 12 complete months.
