I have gained a better understanding and grasp of the Course Student Learning Outcome $($CSLO$)$ appraising the impact of healthy work environments as it relates to patient outcomes and culture. This CSLO has given me insight and important information to ensure a healthy work environment in my organization. When conducting research for our Healthy Work Environment paper in Unit $5,$ I explored, identified, and evaluated a healthy work environment. Moving forward, I will be able to use what I have learned in my work environment to produce better patient outcomes and continue to maintain a positive, just culture.

Sampson & Fried $(2021)$ explained that healthcare organizations should focus on building empowering and satisfying work environments for their employees because while healthcare workers have a duty to care for their patients, healthcare organizations should have a duty to care for their employees. Research by da Silva et al$.,(2023)$ revealed that the concept of healthy work environments is articulated to the professional organizations$$ interest in advocating the positive relationship between practice environments and care quality. It is important to maintain healthy and favorable work environments for better patient outcomes and organizational culture. Pechacek et al$.,(2022)$ explained a primary focus of healthcare leaders is healthy work environments because they are needed to sustain healthy workplace cultures to promote engagement and safe, high$-$quality patient care. We can all work together to provide better patient care and produce better overall outcomes while engaging in a just culture across the organization.
