I really need a feedback on this assignment How I did . 2+2 approach. positive and suggest an alternative viewpoint. charismatic, inspirational, and transformational leadership discussion
Two things I learned were different approaches in leadership. Power-influence approach is a very good approach to leadership when approaching in a leader dynamic, this is where a leader appoints a task to a follower and gives them the purpose of the task. This will be helpful in a leadership role to help promote them to do a task and motivate them to do it because they know why they are doing it. Democratic Leadership this one stood out to me because its something that I have probably done the most, mostly in group assignments this is because it is a style of leadership that is done by everyone coming to the leader by a consensus.
2. Comparing the most common types of leadership styles being charismatic, inspirational, and transformational we see that they are all very interesting types of leadership. Starting with Charismatic this type of leader try's to motivate their followers with good communication and motivation. Inspirational is where a leader uses emotion to motivate their followers to do the task they gave them. Transformational leadership is where the leader transforms the followers into their own independent leaders. the similarities between the three are that they are all personal between the leader and the follower and they differ in how they connect to their followers.
3. The first clip uses Autocratic leadership because the coach is closely watching the athletes and monitoring how well they do in the activity. The second clip uses transformational leadership because Harry Potter is transforming each of his class mates to be independent in their abilities. I would say the second clip pertains more to charismatic leadership because he cares for his employees.
