Equipment and Materials:
Festo Hydraulic/ electro hydraulic system
Design the hydraulic circuit for the below experiments using Fluid-sim software and form a group of two - four students and perform the simulation in Festo hydraulic workstation.
Lab Activity: Simulation
Design and develop the hydraulic circuit for the following sequence of operation
1. Figure 1 shows schematically the arrangement of a drilling machine.
Following are the sequence of operation
1. The operation is to be started using a lever operated \(4/2\mathrm{DCV}\) to extend cylinder M1 and clamp the workpiece
2. Activate the second \(4/3\) DCV Cylinder to extend the cylinder M2 and perform the drilling operation (bidirectional motor).
3. Use proper control valve to control the speed of cylinder M2.
4. Then retract cylinder M2 and stop the drill motor and retract cylinder M1
