Students will will run a a statistical test using excel for a given data set (See attached). This data set includes 4 exams for two different classes. Students will a) summarize what the data set is, b) identify a problem in which a statistical test could be used, c) identify which statistical test would be appropriate d) run the statistical test in excel e) explain the findings of and implications of the test results Formatting: Double spaced, size 12 Times New Roman font Submit as PDF or DOC A) Summarize what the data set is B) Identify a problem in which a statistical test could be used and why it is important to analyze this -/Here are some examples of problems: o Is the average score of all exams greater than 70? We want to compare performance on exams of online vs in person students . We want to compare the difficulty of Exam 1 vs Exam 4. o We want to see if we can predict Exam 4 score from Exam 1 score. c) Identify which statistical test would be appropriate Why did you choose this statistical test? What are your null and alternative hypotheses? The appropriate statistical test will depend on what you are analyzing. o One sample hypothesis testing . Two sample tests One way ANOVA . Simple Linear Regression D) Run the statistical test in excel and provide the output Depending on the type of statistical test you choose, what coefficients should you interpret (e.g. p-value less than 05, positiveegative slope). What do these numbers mean? E) explain the findings of and implications of the test results. . How do your results answer your original question? What are the weaknesses and strengths of this study
