Monica advertises in the newspaper the sale of a vintage Mini car for $5m.

Paul Tripster visited Monica in response to the advertisement offering to buy the car. He told her he was Harry Goldman, a famous car collector who Monica knows of but had never seen personally. He gives her a cheque for $5m and she was happy to deliver the car to him. Tripster then sells the car to Jerry and absconds with the money. Monica takes the cheque to the bank and two days later the bank called to let her know that the cheque was dishonoured. Monica contacts the police immediately when she hears that the car was now in the possession of Jerry. She and the police visits Jerry to retrieve the car however Jerry insists that the car belongs to him. Advise Monica
