In an essay of no more than 500 words explain the unique perspectives you hope to gain
Question:
In an essay of no more than 500 words explain the unique perspectives you hope to gain in the U.S. and how you intend to use these skills, knowledge and experience upon your return to your home country.
By the time I have heard about the opportunity to go to the U.S. I first though that it could be an odd opportunity to improve my English abilities. In this case I would be immersed in a culture that speaks this language, I would be surrounded by the language speakers on a daily basis, like seeing and hearing it in a proper cultural context. Language learning surely happens more easily under these circumstances.
Studying in the U.S. is going to put me on a completely different continent as well. I could be much closer to places I might, otherwise, not have had the opportunity to visit. A whole new culture replete of uses that are different from my home country.
Returning home with new ideas and perspectives about the America itself and its own culture and embrace new perceptions should really be an amazing complementation to my development as a human being moreover as a Brazilian citizen.
In order, I have felt the necessity of analyzing this chance as an outstanding way for developing my engineering and science skills in one of the world's most referenced high-end nations. I will be able to bring the knowledge in my baggage all the way back to my college. This could be a mutual relationship between my institution and me. This kind of trip can provide me some experiences a regular classroom ambience could never do. I can take courses I would never have had the opportunity to take on my home campus, which is early created and still under construction.
Applying my recently earned skills and experiences of life at the rest of my under graduation journey is ought to enhance the value of my degree. Later I should be able to do so on an Industry or at a science research project with my university.
I am plenty agree that a student who has studied abroad is self-motivated, independent, willing to embrace challenges, and able to handle difficult or diverse situations. Coming across situations that are wholly unfamiliar to you, having to adapt yourself and respond in effective ways are already expected from an applicant that is about to take courses on a foreign institution. I do feel myself completely prepared to face all this difficulties indeed.
Of course a mention in your résumé that you have studied in U.S. can open dozens of job doors around in Brazil and worldwide too. Living and studying in a foreign country, negotiating another culture, and acquiring another language will all set you apart from the majority of other job applicants. And enhancements in employment opportunities are probably one of my most expected goals to achieve.
