Question:
In China, a 38-year-old man named Chen Gongke has done built a robot that will wash your hair for you. Most people are confuse with this invention because washing your hair, isn't like, a struggle. You put on some tunes, you hop in the shower, you wet your hair, you lather up the shampoo, and you get all up in there. When finished, you emerge with a fresh, clean, and presumably better mop. It's hardly rocket science, and certainly not something we ever thought a robot could do better than us. But, of course, we weren't seeing the big picture.
What inspired him was that Gongke's grandmother is paralyzed, which makes life exponentially difficult on all counts. Simple acts, like washing your hair, suddenly become
insurmountable obstacles. That's what actually inspired him to making this seemingly useless machine. He's been tinkering with the idea for a decade, trashing 18 motorcycle helmets in the process, according to China Daily. As you can see by the photo above (that's the inventor's dad in the picture), it's a pretty impressive machine. Though, it's a lot simpler than it looks. You load up the water tank, you load up the shampoo, and then you presumably press a button and start the whole process. It's the most heartwarming grooming story we've ever heard. With little modification on the design, this product will get good response from the consumer. The closes competitor is the Panasonic shampoo robot. Unlike the Panasonic which target saloon outlet, the fabled hair-washing machine is for consumer usage. With the above scenario, your company has adopted this idea and planning to launch this product next year. You as the Business Unit Manager of your company and reporting directly to you are the two newly appointed Product Manager and a Sale Manager.
