Sanofi is a pharmaceutical firm that researches and developments pharmacological products. They also manufacture and market the products they produce. Their tag phrase is we chase the miracles of science to improve peoples lives. (Sanofi, 2023) Sanofi is a French enterprise that was established in 1973. Global headquarters are located in Paris, France. Sanofi also has headquarters across the United States, where they employee 13,000 employees. Sanofi has a customer base that is spread across the entire pharmaceutical industry from big specialty pharm, to distributors, to consumer health. However, Sanofi spends millions of dollars each year marketing direct to consumers through commercials and ads. One of Sanofis main goals is to provide access to healthcare for anyone who may need it. They focus on consumer health needs from prevention, detection, early diagnosis and access to healthcare and medicines, to treatments, cures, and care.

In regard to the Fourth Industrial Revolution (IR). Sanofi is highly focused on advances in artificial intelligence (AI). The research and development team for Sanofi has been working with the pharmaceutical company Exscientia to develop small molecules in the advancement for treatments in oncology and immunology using AI technology. These small molecules will target inflammation within the body. The advancement in small molecules will not only benefit immunotherapy but improve treatments in sickle cell disease, cystic fibrosis, and vaccines. As for Sanofi using AI for medical advancements, especially in todays climate, that can only advance their hold in the marketplace. Even with the all the benefits AI can potentially supply for Sanofi, there are some dangers. One being the enormous expense that goes along with developing these types of medical developments. Second is the restrictions and government involvement in production, trials, and distribution.
