In order to decrease boredom and fatigue among production employees, the production manager implements a two-week training program that will cross-train employees to do various jobs in each department. Since the manager expects production time to decrease as a result, he sets a new goal of finished goods to be produced each workday. After the training program, employees are adjusting to their new jobs and are unable to meet the goals, which causes an increase in turnover of employees from frustration.
