In the chapter, "The Team That Wasnt", based on what you have read about emotions, trust and Leadership Embodiment, To Marie's point - and the many of you who have suggested that Eric meet with Randy in private - how do we get Randy to buy-into the process? Does he have to actually be part of the team (that is, be at team meetings)? Can he be consulted and have input, and not have to show up at meetings? Is his lack of buy-in due to his assessment of Eric (an outsider who has not proven himself), his EQ (or lack thereof), or acting from personality (his core concerns have been not been acknowledged)?

I know he (Eric) had plans to meet one one one with all of them in advance, but I wonder if that actually happened. Because if they did and Randy said he would participate/support the project, but now is not, that is a different response than getting his buy in (since he doesn't seem to have gotten it from the start).
