In this activity you will interact with en evolutionary simulation that models the cumulative evolution of a culturally inherited trait. The model considers a group of people arranged into a grid. Each person knows a certain technology which is scored from 0 (the lowest) to 10 (the highest). Every step in the simulation people can innovate (which increases their technology level by 1), forget (which reduces their technology level to 0), or copy (which sets their technology level to the same as one of their neighbors). In the activity you will manipulate the probability that people engage in the three different behaviors (innovating, forgetting and copying) as well as the type of copying and use the output of the simulation to answer the questions below. As with all the activities, you have unlimited time to complete the questions, but once you submit your responses you cannot change them. Remember to submit your responses before the deadline.
