In this case analysis, you need to identify an issue in business ethics and/or sustainability and demonstrate your understanding of the discipline by providing recommendations. You will investigate a real-life case from an organisation. A range of current case studies will be provided on the subject Canvas site - you can choose from the provided cases or find your own case (please confirm with lecturer before proceeding). Plagiarised assignments will not be tolerated.

After choosing your case study, you will need to discuss the case using one or two theories that have been taught in the subject content.

Choose one or two theories/concepts from the following

Stakeholder Theory

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)

Deontology

Teleology

Theories of justice

Normative approach to ethical decision making

Ethical corporate culture

Students will need to collect data, mostly from secondary sources and analyse their case using subject content. Use of the textbook is strongly recommended.

Other valid sources for obtaining data on your case study may include:

Secondary data from online articles and websites. These should be reliable and valid online data sources such as online journals, journal databases, e-books and Google Scholar. (Simple Google searches and Wikipedia are NOT considered appropriate for academic writing)

The case study company's annual/quarterly reports, and sustainability reports.

Related news articles or other media sources such as videos or podcasts (from reliable sources).
