Remember that "Framing plans" are the structural members that hold up the floor they are referencing, e.g. "FIRST FLOOR Framing Plan" is the structure that holds up the "first floor"
Create an efficient layout of decking (where appropriate), beams, girders, and columns.
Prepare the framing plan layouts for combination and efficient import to Karamba3D.
Instructions:
Using the template file provided here FramingPlanExercise-240924.3dm Download FramingPlanExercise-240924.3dmcreate framing plan layouts for one of the floor plans. You may adjust the floor plate outlines slightly, if needed, you are now the "architect" of these fictitious buildings.
Copy your floor framing vertically to create a, minimum, four story building and include framing for a roof.
Include:
Indication of what materials (Steel) you are using for the framing plan layout.Grid (dimension the typical column bay sizes) on the ground floor framing plan only.Decking, Beams, Girders, Columns, Columns-plan, as appropriate.
Print your completed framing plan layout. From Rhino: File > Print > "View and Output Scale" > check "All Layouts" and change "Scale" to 100%(1:1). And under "Linetypes and Line Widths" > "Linetype", select "Match Pattern Definition"
